Work zone traffic safety course 1 is a course that provides participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to plan and implement safe work warning during road and construction work. Anyone who is to carry out work on or near roads must at least have completed this course, in line with the requirements of the Norwegian Public Roads Administration’s handbook N301. “Work on the road” means any activity that involves presence on the road surface, including inspection, control, survey and similar tasks.
Objective:
Work zone traffic safety course 1 is a course that provides participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to plan and implement safe work alert in connection with road and construction work. According to the Norwegian Public Roads Administration’s handbook N301, this course is a minimum requirement for anyone working on or near roads. This applies to all work that involves staying in the roadway – such as inspection, control and survey. After completing the course, the participants will be able to plan and carry out work warning in line with current requirements, and contribute to a safe and secure workplace for both workers and road users.
